I’m Louise - you belong here

I’m Louise, and I’m really glad you’ve made it this far into my site!

I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor, and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have completed my L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with the CPCAB, and I also have both Mental Health First Aid and Suicide First Aid qualifications.

I am fiercely passionate about good quality, accessible mental health services for all. I like to challenge the perceptions out there of counselling and mental wellness, and champion acceptance and authenticity. I’ve faced adversity in my own life and despite it being tough in places, I know it is all part of what makes me, me. I believe that showing kindness to ourselves and our situations can help with healing from our traumas and enhance our understanding of self.

I’m based in Newlyn and find the local area to be instrumental in promoting healing – there really is something quite special about Mounts Bay! I have Tessa, my counselling wagon, to hold sessions in with St Michael’s Mount serving as a magical backdrop. Tessa has lovely comfy seats where you can snuggle up under a blanket while I listen. If you prefer a more active session we can walk and talk along the coast path, and I am always open to hearing about your favourite places to explore.

I hope that you will find our sessions a safe space to be you.

Meet Tessa - My Counselling Wagon

If you can’t decide where to meet I have my converted wagon where we can park up and look at the Cornish coast, wave watch or just have a cuppa where I can listen. A safe space.
